H2H Founder Receives Inaugural Student Award at SEARCH 2026 National Telehealth Research Symposium
H2H founder Laya Anand was recognized with the Student Award for Exceptional Presentation of Connected Health Research at SEARCH 2026 – The National Telehealth Research Symposium, held June 2–3, 2026, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
The award, introduced for the first time in 2026 by the Society for Education and the Advancement of Research in Connected Health (SEARCH), recognizes outstanding student contributions to connected health research.
SEARCH Award Winner Hall of FameLaya’s award-winning presentation, “Student-Led Implementation of a Virtual Self-Inquiry and Peer Leadership Model: The H2H Connected Health Framework,” described the evolution of H2H from a local student initiative into a scalable, peer-led connected health model designed to promote resilience, leadership, and wellbeing among adolescents and young adults.
The abstract highlighted H2H’s transition from faculty-supported implementation to student-led delivery, expansion into international educational settings, and the growing role of peer leadership in building resilient communities.
